Production Blog: Revisions

Image
I Made Some Choices.       Hello blog, I have made a decision that is not bad, but will change a little. I have decided to redo the last couple of scenes. This is mainly because the scenes did not come out like I wanted it to, and I did not walk as fast making it difficult to edit. With this new version, it was way easier to edit it. Now I have a version that is better, but I still might replace it.     Continuing the polishing that I mentioned from last blog, I am now gonna do the scene of the boy's hiding spot now being empty. From the last mentioned scene of the girl looking, then walking away, I am gonna have that cut into the next scene. The empty hiding spot scene will hold for a bit, but not too long. After this, the music should reach its next point. That is where I am going to insert the couple of scenes I redid.      I have to edit out the unnecessary parts, and then speed up the shots. I have put the speed at about five times the r...

Production Blog: Lets Polish

Image
Time to Polish.       Hello blog, today I am gonna polish the recordings I have made. I are not editing the entire part rather just put together the recordings I was able to get done. I am hoping that these clips blend well and do not clash. What I mean by clash is that they don't fit, and make the big picture irregular. Let's begin the process now.     First, the general transition is going to be cuts. I might add a fade in but I will decide that when I am editing everything all at once. The first scene is a little longer than anticipated, but that will be okay. I am just going to have the song cut in a little after, which gives the room I wanted for intro credits. When transferring the scenes into the software, I have to mute the ambience so the music is able to be heard.     Next, I have to edit each scene, and cut out any unnecessary parts. This includes the first couple seconds of the over the shoulder shot. The shot is a little longer than I...

Production Blog: Camera,Lights,Action!

Time To Put in The Work!      Hello blog, I was finally able to do it! I was able to record the first part of scenes for the music video. The first part goes from scene one to nine, and I am very proud of how it came out. The actress of the girl in my video performed very well and went beyond the vision I had. This is not a bad thing, rather it makes everything better!     I began right away to positioning the camera to include both tree one and two. The actress helped a bit as well with finalizing the angle and shot which was very helpful and needed. After we finished the scene, we moved on for the over shoulder scene which we did in one take! The next scene was the zoom in scene when the actress stops. This scene took a couple of takes.     The main problem with doing this scene was trying to position the camera right. If we did not position the camera right, the actresses face would not be able to be seen properly. This was a big issue because ...

Production Blog: Post Pone

Image
Hello blog, I am very displeased with announcing this information but the recording has to be post poned. The weather proved to be faulty on the big day. But this does not mean we just lay back! I have made revisions on the scenes and have settled. I hope these revisions please everyone and still live up to the expectations,     The first revision I have made, is extending the intro scene. Extending it means just a bit slower walking and the music starts a bit later. This will allow me to made some intro credits, and give a proper sequence into the rest of the music video. This also allows the scenes to align better, giving a better flow to how the scenes are laid out. The next revision I dont think is that bad.     The next revision I decided to make, is changing scene 3 by a little bit. Instead of the girl just looking back and it cutting out, I added a zoom in. This would allow the expression of the girl to be seen better, and comprehended bet...

Production Blog: Lets do this

Preparing and Executing  Hello there blog! Today I are beginning the production of my music video. First thing I have to do is prepare the equipment. I will be using a camera and tripod mainly, but I might use certain aspects of the camera. Such as recording count down, only if its available and is able to be used well.     Next, I have to prepare the area. What will mainly need to be prepared is the scene of the boy running to his room. The door would need to be unlocked and a route of how the boy is gonna run around needs to be made. The scene would also be in two or three times speed, so I need to figure out how to lengthen the running. Next up is the room!     For the room scene, I need to prepare my bed, and the position of the tripod. Since the scene would be looking down on me, I may need to use special lenses, but that does not seem so. The gestures and way I move while I sing the lyric I may change over time but so far I am enjoying what I am doing. Als...

Planning Blog: Lets Plan This Out!

What I'm Gonna Do     As said before in my last blog, the song I am going to do a video for is Everlong. First things first, the props that I am going to use. I am most definitely going to use my instruments, such as my guitars and drum set. I am also most likely going to incorporate some kind of different object which I havent decided what yet. The object would be reoccuring, appearing repeatedly throughout the video, it could be as simple as a banana.      The location of the video would change, but I am going to most likely start it off at my house, then move around to different places that have a scenery I would either like to try or use. On my street, there is a lamp post I definitely want to incorporate. The lamp post is the only one that turns on in my street, and I believe it would perfectly give the atmosphere I am going for. I might go to a park aswell, or somewhere with a vast field. This area would appear maybe two or three times, and I hope to have ...
