Movie Conventions Research: Blade Runner 2049

Image
Hello blog! Today we watched Blade Runner 2049. 1. The sudden mystery to action sequences that are because of the characters interest into solving a certain mystery. 2. The plot, the action scenes, and the sudden sounds. 3. There was not that much action but it was still very good for what it was.

Movie Conventions Research: Drive

Image
Hello blog! Today we watched the movie Drive. 1. The suspenseful action scenes that thrill at the viewer is what I am looking for, the suspense builds up and enacts a horror type response. 2. The length of each action scene was enjoyable, and the way that the scenes got more and more intense over time. 3. There were a lot of actions scenes, not much room to relax or build other parts of the plot.

Movie Conventions Research: The Nice Guys

Image
Hello blog! Today we watched The Nice Guys. 1. The movie contains lots of actions scenes, which include gun fights, hand to hand combat, as well as driving. The movie also contains certain scenes that are surprising and may be considered horror. 2. The action scenes were not excessive nor obnoxious, it was appealing and very interesting. 3. It felt dragged on a little bit, the action scenes were still interesting but you can tell that it was following a certain outline.

Genre Blog: The Big Decision

Big Decision   Hello there blog! Today we are making our decision for the genre the video would be on. The genre I will be using for the movie sequence... is a mixture of mainly action and mystery! I came to this conclusion due to the pitch I have decided on. The genre fits perfectly into the setting. The mixture of mystery into the genre also allows suspense to build up well. Action and mystery gives a mixture of suspense, thrill and a rush of adrenaline. I will try my best to achieve this in my sequence, but regardless I am very excited.

Genre Blog: Horror

Horror Genre       Hello Blog! Today we are researching about the horror genre. The horror genre mainly use POV shots, handheld angles, Dutch angles, tracking shots, and extreme close ups. Horror genre likes the mis-en-scene to be in dark, rural, deserted locations that are isolated and mainly abandoned. It also uses all types of weapons, mainly hand held weapons that are not projectiles, as well as having certain super natural features. These features can be graveyards, haunted houses, or even isolated castles.     Horror uses lots of special effects, shot placements, and transitions, which can be cutting or just regular fade in. For sound, it uses mainly stringed instruments, but also use breathing, synthesizers, monsters vocals, footsteps, ghost sounds, stabbing, slashing, or any flesh wound sounds. Insidious and Annabelle are examples of horror genre movies. I like the appeal and fright of horror, it brings a rush of adrenaline. I do not like how horror can get repetitive.

My Pitch Blog

Image
Pitching   Hello blog, today I am making my pitches for my final task. The first pitch is, people investigating a murder, but does that mean the murderer isnt among them? My second pitch is, a night walk goes south, someone is following but is that a mascot?          I would be interest in making the first pitch a film because of its mystery. The film would have certain clues that would match someone that is investigating themself. Those clues would eventually add up and then someone would get an idea but the idea would not be official. The mystery would run for the whole film but for the beginning it would be shown so the whole film it would be a cat chase. The only reasons I would not be interested in making this film is how bland it might be. The film would be around one major chase and that chase would run for the whole film. At some point it may look like its being runned on.     I would be interested in making the second pitch becauseof its suspense. The suspesne would create a

The Solo  Hello there blog, today I am going to establish who I am going to work with for my final task. I am going to work with myself! I'm choosing to work with myself for a number of reasons, all of which I am content with. The first reason is that generally, I work better with myself, and I am able to execute the vision I have. The second reason, is that I just don't have anyone to work with.     Of course I have class mates that I am able to work with, just its not anyone who I know personally, or who I would want to meet. I find working with myself also very comfortable. I don't have to wait on anyone, nor do I have to rush to meet others needs. I can work at my own pace, and try my best to execute the idea I have for this final task. I am so very excited to make this video.     The song I have chosen, is probably gonna be royalty free music. This type of music has a nice genre that I believe I can show in the music video I will make. This music is also very easy to w
